This Coaching Program is About…

You’ll learn how to use effective, evidence-based skills to manage difficult emotions like anxiety and stress so that you are free to go towards the things that bring you value and joy. We’ll deeply clarify the direction you want for your life and the person you want to be. We’ll also identify patterns of actions you can take daily to bring you closer to your goals. Ultimately, the work we’ll do together will offer you transformations in several areas of your life:
(1) your daily lifestyle —> you’ll learn how to create helpful daily habits & replace unhelpful ones.
(2) your relationship with yourself —> you’ll learn how to treat yourself kindly and compassionately instead of being self-critical and getting in your own way.
(3) your mental wellness —> you’ll learn an entire new approach (based on research) to managing your mental health that involves being more psychologically flexible, you’ll learn how to cultivate resilience (ability to bounce back from challenges), and you’ll learn how to relate to anxiety differently so that it doesn’t control your life.
(4) your goals —> you’ll learn how to identify what truly matters to you & what you want for your life, AND you’ll learn how to take action aligned with those values to create a more expansive, fulfilling, and meaningful life. You’ll also learn how to stay committed to your goals even when you veer off the path.

How Did I Get So Stuck?
When we feel stressed or anxious, we tend to live life on autopilot; acting out of habit and just trying to get through it. We might not even notice that the ways that we cope with challenges are not serving us well anymore. Eventually, we get stuck in a rut, working so hard to get out, and we don’t have much energy or attentional capacity to do anything else. We might stop hanging out with family/friends, procrastinate, stop pursuing the things we love, or spend much of our time trying to distract ourselves from how we feel. It can be really difficult to come out of these ruts on our own, no matter how hard we try.
This program uses the six main skills from evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) to not only help you get unstuck, but to help you move forward confidently in meaningful and fulfilling life directions.
